A range of wines
aimed at a younger generation, offering traditional values. Based in Australia, Munificent Wines is a social enterprise driven to support
local, independent businesses. Distributing wines exclusively through
independent shops, bars and restaurants, with a commitment to donating 50% pre-tax
profit to a local charity.
The aim was to create a brand and labels to attract a younger generation of conscious, ethical wine drinkers.
The logo uses an experimental stencil typeface based on the traditional Georgia font and the icon was created by taking the company initials.
The illustrated hands not only represent sharing or receiving but also the company ethos as generosity is ingrained in everything Munificent Wines does.
The colour palette takes influence from craft beer labels that are naturally captivating, bold and bright.
This has been a great project to work on, it’s just a shame I can’t pop down to the local store to pick one or three up for myself. I wish both Owain and Chris all the success as these wines go to the Australian market.
